Artist and musician Elizabeth Starr lives and paints in Bath, Maine. Raised in Massachusetts, she earned a BFA in painting at Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA. Today, her walkabouts take her deep into the spruce woods, and by the granite shores of midcoast Maine. Her work in watercolors, acrylics and oil paint capture what wild adventures happen when one gets immersed in the Maine wilds. She paints an exhilarating tangle of feral flowers, thickets of fir, mosaics of mossy stones, and the elements of fierce weather which can change anytime. Painting is magic, magic is the Maine experience.
