What We Do
The Green Lion Gallery began bringing the work of remarkable printmakers and other artists to historic downtown Bath, Maine in December of 2015. The physical gallery moved to Lyme, New Hampshire during the pandemic, but now we’re back in Bath although not formally open as a retail gallery. We stay connected with our community of artists and patrons here on our web site, and operate in owner/printmaker David Morgan’s studio in Bath open by appointment. We focus on handmade limited-edition prints, each individually created by the artist. We also periodically feature work in other media - including drawings, paintings, assemblage, and sculpture - that reflect quality, visual poetry, and artistic inspiration. We exhibit art from Maine, New England, and around the world, and make original artwork as accessible as possible. Please explore our artists below, and come visit when you can - online or in person at the studio in Bath. Gallery & Working Studio
The Green Lion began as both a gallery and a working print studio in Bath, Maine. In 2018 the studio moved off-site to be able to host larger workshops and print more efficiently. In 2020 the gallery opened in a new location in Lyme, New Hampshire, and now has moved back to Bath. We love being part of the thriving art community of midcoast Maine and New England!
